I wish I could remember who recommended this book - I checked all the reading message boards I belong to and I couldn't come across the person. However, I remember them saying that this was one of their favorite books. I couldn't agree more!!!

Lynn Kurland is a "new to me" author and I am so sorry that I have missed out on her books. I am soon going to be correcting this oversight by ordering more of her novels. Even though Stardust of Yesterday was her debut novel back in 1996, it is the 10th novel in the De Piaget family series. I am so glad I didn't know that because I would have missed out on reading this wonderful story. (I am one of those obsessed people that need to read a series in order!!). She pens beautiful tales of heartrending romance that leaves the sex to the imagination of the reader. According to the FAQ page of her website, she was asked if she intentionally writes PG stories and her answer was: "Yes, it is. I take a fair amount of heat for it, but I've spent my career doing my best to write my stories, my way, and hope that they find an audience. My goal is to provide readers with a good love story and leave the more intimate moments to the imagination."

Stardust of Yesterday is a contemporary romance that includes a medieval knight who is a ghost haunting Seakirk Keep. Genevieve has inherited a castle, but little does she know that the ghost of a handsome, arrogant, 13th century knight comes along with it. Kendrick, a ghost who roams the halls of the keep, is bent on getting rid of Genevieve, the last of her line, to break the 700 hundred year old curse that keeps him bound to the land of Seakirk.

When his tricks don't work in scaring her away, they begin to learn how to coexist together. As they begin to grow closer, their relationship becomes bittersweet. Genevieve has to face her greatest fear - falling in love. Throughout this tragic love story, there runs a secondary story of someone trying to kill Genevieve. Will Kendrick be able to save her - I mean really - what can a ghost do?

This book is filled with many humorous scenes, witty, "saucy" dialogue, and a cast of quirky characters that you will come to love!! Genevieve is naive, feisty, fragile, but courageous and Kendrick is everything you've ever dreamed a knight to be!

This will definitely be on my reread list and will make my Top Ten Reads of the Year list - I know I will want to revisit this book again and again.

I read this one years ago and loved it. While I haven't read her latest ones for a while now, her earlier books are wonderful. I think this was one of the first 'ghost' books I read.
